WOMEN'S FOOTBALL

women's football teamFootball is a great sport and is a fun way to get exercise and enjoy spending time with your friends.  If you find that you like watching football on TV or you are a fanatical supporter of your local team, chances are you will probably also enjoy playing the game yourself!  Luckily it is not too difficult to learn the basics, and if you've ever watched a game of football you'll probably find that your knowledge of the game will translate easily onto the pitch.  Perhaps the best way to get started is in fact to become a regular spectator – pay close attention to where each player is positioned on the pitch (you will notice they stay in a loose formation), and also note the decisions made by the referee and linesmen.  You'll quickly become familiar with the main concepts – such as the off-side rule, the different sorts of penalties, and the yellow and red card system. Once you're happy you know enough about the rules of the game to get playing it yourself, look around for a local team or five- or six-a-side competition.  You may want to encourage a few of your friends to form a team with you, or you may decide instead to sign up for an established team within a local amateur league.  Many of the UK's larger cities have such leagues, and the smaller towns are likely to have inter-district competitions.  Once you've signed up or formed your squad, it's simply a matter of turning up for matches!

If you have recently formed a local women's football squad and you feel the players are ready for matches against other teams it is always an idea to invest in a vehicle to get to the matches. Once you purchase a van or minibus you will need to insure it so for great deals on van insurance visit quotezone.co.uk.
